From the first sentence, I was reminded of my time in the Army and the realization of having to actually prepare to go to war. "Get in and get out. What do you think this is, some kind of game?" Devin snarled." THAT is what grabbed me, and continued to hold me as Mr. Howard details the mechanisms of intrigue and intricately reveals the brokenness of mankind in his quest for supremacy. I was at once transported to my time of working with sensitive material. Mr. Howard masterfully introduces the reader to relatable, real-world characters, motives and spirit, while simultaneously introducing the plausible realities of weaponry in our very real world. "The Invisible Enemy: Black Fox" is not the genre I normally read. Having a couple of friends that haved actually worked in special forces I was curious as to the happenings and wanted a little insight as to what goes on "behind the scenes." Mr. Howard knows the world that he throws the reader into from page one. As a writer Mr. Howard has done a fabulous job of making the reader feel he has left the safety and comfort of his world and entered a dark and sinister place where the reader soon becomes a part of----There is no doubt that Mr. Howard is an expert in his field and he has painted a picture that some may find hard to view. However, he has left no doubt that he knows his story, characters and their world as dark and fearful as it may be. This novel will not disappoint. An exciting read from cover to cover! [5 STARS]

I'll start by saying I loved this book. This was such a different read for me. I love to read outside the box and this was just that. This was expressed in such a way I was looking over my shoulder eyeing everyone weird as anyone could have been a spy. This was so real to me I was saying `you can't make this up'.

The author does a masterful job in setting the plot for this terrific spy novel. As I began to read the book, I could not put it down. I normally read very casually, but I read this book in a couple of days! It was extremely riveting. The locations in DC and the surrounding suburbs (Columbia, MD) were real streets that I have actually driven on. The background on the Russian and American agents was marvelously written. How they had infiltrated America and blended in, was a little scary. I could barely wait for the sequel, that was just as captivating. Whether or not you like spy novels, this book is a must read. Enjoy. [5 STARS]

Page Turning Thriller!!! Let me just say this book really intrigued me. I'm not a movie thriller customer and I cant even bare to watch a scary movie, but the title alone sparked my curiosity, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone. The invisible enemy is an awesome read and I just could not put it down! It kept me missing my favorite reality TV shows, because I could not wait to get to the next chapter to see what would happen next. I love the plot leads and the way it keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. The story has a little love in it, which I love as an author myself. Well written and I cant wait to read the sequel, HURRY when is it coming. You got me hooked!!!!!. [5 STARS]

The Invisible Enemy was a very good book. I normally don't read spy novels but after I read the summary, I thought I would give a try. I wasn't disappointed. The characters were well developed and the storyline kept you intrigued. Lots of action and advanced technology that was described in great detail. It made me wonder if these things really exist in the world. I am definitely telling my friends about this book and am getting the next one. No question about it!

Got a copy of this book and all I can say is that I absolutely loved it. I haven't read many spy/assassin centered books but this one really blew me away. I stayed up so late the first night I started reading it because I couldn't put it down. I'm really hoping there's more, either a sequel or another book by Anthony Howard that comes out soon because this book really captivated me and took me to a whole other world. No matter what type of genre's you like, this book simply doesn't disappoint. Completely different that what I ever expected but so, so worth it. [5 STARS]

I was intrigued by the preface of The Invisible Enemy but I had no idea that it would exceed my expectations the way it did. The book drew me in after the first couple of pages and continued to peak my interest more and more as I read each chapter. I keep expecting the excitement /suspense of the book to stop, thinking there is no way this can get better but it did! I really enjoyed how the author took me on a nonstop journey of action. Throughout each page the author unveiled facts, provided conclusions, and left me with a cliffhanger effect from one chapter to the next. This by far was one of my favorite characteristics of the book. I also found it very easy to connect with the characters. As I read the book, I felt more like I was following my favorite sitcom. I never wanted to put this book down. I also really enjoyed learning more about how the military and the government operate, as unnerving as this revelation was. The Invisible Enemy had a great mix of action, suspense, pieces of romance, depth, and interrelated episodic plots. I am definitely going to pick up the squeal The Invisible Enemy Vendetta.

This book was fantastic! Be prepared to stay up all night hanging on to an exhilarating plot. I was unable to put this book down. The plot starts off immediately with a Washington Post reporter who uncovers a sinister plot. Before I knew it I was immersed in a world of espionage. I found myself thinking of the characters and wondering how spies are recruited an planted here in the United States. By the end of this book I was ready for part II...Vendetta! [5 STARS]

the invisible enemy: black fox was an awesome action packed thriller, i could not put it down! it kept me on the edge of my seat with its surprises, twists, and turns. this book has an excellent, well established plot that leads you through the breakdown of the soviet union and all of its former "organizations". the employees of these organizations are now out of work, and trying to remain in the game while also remaining invisible. this story has bigtime fight and action scenes while at the same time incorporating a slight love story under the surface. can't wait to read the sequel! my compliments to the author!
